Be a co-sponsor at the 26th Annual “Destinations of New York State Auction” promotional program which will be held at the American Bus Association Marketplace on Monday, January 18th at Gaylord National Harbor, Maryland.

This program uses a reverse psychology in which motorcoach operators are looking for New York State suppliers instead of suppliers looking for motorcoach operators. The motorcoach operator's mission is to collect New York fun bucks during the convention, so that on Monday night they can come to the NYS Live Auction and bid on over 100 fabulous auction gifts donated by our New York State sponsor suppliers. Once again, an equal quantity of fun bucks will be given to each New York co-sponsor with no re-supply available. Items will be auctioned off at lower dollars and higher value items will be spread throughout the auction. This annual New York State auction promotional program is one of the highlights of the week for motorcoach operators.

Once again, Destinations of New York State will have a 20 foot booth space on the marketplace networking floor. You will be able to volunteer to work in this booth during the convention week during your non appointment hours. Another benefit of the auction is that operators visit this booth to collect their NYS auction dollars allowing you access to meet many more operators. 

If your company is interested in co-sponsoring this promotional event, please forward a check in the amount of $300.00 for hotels, restaurants, attractions and others in this registration category, or $400.00 per destinations (DMO’s) category. As in the past, this will be an excellent way to maximize your ABA Convention investment.

This program promises to be very productive as well as a lot of fun. We look forward to promoting New York State with you in Maryland at the ABA Marketplace!

Each co-sponsor is asked to contribute a minimum of one gift. Additional gifts are welcome and will receive extra recognition at the auction. Each gift should have a minimum retail value of $40.00 and must be TANGIBLE, such as briefcases, radios, luggage, plates, steins, wine gift packs, liquor, stuffed animals, clocks, figurines, etc. NO meals, NO overnights, NO admissions. Please attach business card to each gift for recognition. NOTE: You will need to hand carry your gifts to the auction room at the Gaylord National the day of the auction anytime after 3 pm. The room location of the auction will be forwarded to you in your final mailing along with your one time supply of auction bucks.

  • We are looking for a few fabulous GRAND PRIZES, i.e.: leather jackets, one-of-a-kind items, Limited edition prints, etc.  Please securely attach business card to each gift.
